Sherman is the county seat of Grayson County in the Texoma region, about an hour north of Dallas near the Oklahoma line. The city once earned the nickname "The Athens of Texas" for the colleges that gathered here in the 1870s. Today Sherman is booming as a semiconductor manufacturing hub anchored by a large Texas Instruments chip fab.
Sherman is half of the Sherman-Denison region on the Texas-Oklahoma border, and the semiconductor boom keeps the city growing and busy. Distance sessions fit that pace, because Sherman residents book from home and need no office stop.
Sherman keeps a small-city classic feel around its historic courthouse square, and the Carnegie-library museum adds to that character. Austin College, home of the 'Roos, carries on the college tradition that shaped the city long ago. By the mid-1920s, Sherman earned the title "Fifth Industrial City of Texas" for its 54 industrial plants, so heavy industry is an old story here. Sherman pairs courthouse-square history with modern manufacturing, and that steady mix suits a practice built around quiet, personal sessions delivered entirely by distance.
