The Emirates keep a working week and a rhythm of their own, and any practice offering appointments here has to respect that rather than assume a Western calendar. Clients in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and the other emirates take up remote Reiki, flower essence conversations, and Reiki attunements taught as online courses. There is a large international community here, and sessions are often booked by people living a long way from where they grew up, which is its own particular kind of tiredness.

Eight or Nine Hours Ahead, Fixed All Year

The United Arab Emirates holds one time zone and does not observe daylight saving, so the offset from Michigan changes only when our clocks move: nine hours ahead through the North American winter and eight hours ahead the rest of the year. Nine in the evening in Dubai is one in the afternoon here, and eight in the morning for you is around eleven at night for us the day before, so early evening in the Emirates is the natural meeting point.

Nothing Is Shipped to a UAE Address

Aura sprays, bottled essence blends and botanical skincare are sent within the United States only. In person work is confined to Metro Detroit, Michigan. What is available to you here is the complete virtual practice, which asks nothing of a courier and nothing of customs.
