Park Ridge is an affluent, tree-lined northwestern suburb of Chicago in Cook County, built on a wooded ridge. Quiet residential streets define daily life here, and the community is known for strong schools and a median household income above the regional average.
Park Ridge pairs quiet residential streets with a walkable Uptown district, which makes home a natural place to slow down and receive a session. A distance Reiki attunement needs only a quiet room in your Park Ridge home, so no one needs to schedule around a commute.
Park Ridge once carried the name Pennyville, after brickyard founder George Penny, and later became Brickton during the mid-1800s. Clay from the wooded ridge fed the brickyards that helped rebuild Chicago, and that industry gave both early names their meaning. The 1928 Art Deco Pickwick Theatre anchors the walkable Uptown district, where the city's story continues beyond its brick-making years. Famous natives, from Hillary Clinton to Harrison Ford, form a striking roster that sets Park Ridge apart from other suburbs.
