Spiritual Animal Healer Program - 6 Attunements

The Spiritual Animal Healer Program was created by Linda Colibert in 2008 under her SpiritLight Reiki name, and it runs as a graded series of attunements ending at Level Six, Crossing Over Animals, with a bonus Animal Protection attunement included at the close.

The material covers both practical ground, including a substantial section at Level Four on animal behaviour, and the harder work of accompanying an animal at the end of its life.

The founder's premise is that animals are teachers as much as companions, and she makes the case through examples rather than assertion: the dog who will not stop trying to get you to play has come to someone who works all day and has stopped making time for fun; the animal who constantly needs walking has come to someone who never feels up to going out; the cat who climbs into your lap tends to find people who are surrounded by others and still feel alone.

Level Six itself is carried by a single meditative symbol, a ten-point star, and the manual gives the exact words for blessing an animal and releasing it. It also describes what often follows, the glimpse of an animal darting past, the brush against a leg, the appearance in a dream, and asks you to greet them rather than ignore them or try to hold them.

How it is used:

Draw the simple ten-point star in the palms of your hands with a finger and bring your palms together, or print the symbol and gaze at it as you bless your animal friend. Visualise the animal whole and moving toward the light, then ask that they be protected and guided safely to the other side and cared for on arrival. Speak to the animal directly: tell them you love them, that it is all right for them to go, that they have been good and you will see them again.

To receive any attunement in the programme, allow twenty to thirty minutes of quiet, take three slow breaths to clear your energy, then state that you accept it from your teacher and let the energies flow. Attunements are passed by intention, in person or at a distance, in whatever way you feel guided.
