Woodstock anchors southern Cherokee County with a walkable, revitalized downtown of music, dining, and shops, plus easy access to the Noonday Creek Trail and the nearby Blankets Creek mountain-bike trails. That active, community-focused outdoor culture pairs naturally with mindful, holistic wellbeing.
Growth has brought a great many newcomers up I-575 who have not yet found practitioners they trust. Working at a distance takes that search out of the equation, since an hour together reaches a new build off Towne Lake as easily as an older house near the depot. Nothing needs to be nearby to begin.
Woodstock began as a railroad town. The Marietta and North Georgia Railroad put a depot here in 1879 as a stop on the line between Marietta and Canton, and the town incorporated on December 8, 1897; the layout of the historic downtown is still much as it stood in the 1920s. The Noonday Creek Trail runs a mile and a half from Highway 92 into that downtown, passing under Dupree Road and ending at Market Street a block off Main, and a 2023 groundbreaking began the extension that will tie Cherokee County's trails into Cobb County's network. The creek's name is familiar to Civil War readers for the skirmishes fought along it in the two weeks before Kennesaw Mountain. Dixie Speedway, a three-eighths-mile clay oval north of town, opened in 1968.
