The Mystical Mermaid Goddess Within Healing System is Part II of Tracey Loper's Healing The Mythic Self series, channeled and compiled in 2009 through Masters Healing Light Academy. It draws together four named sea and mermaid goddesses from four separate cultures. Amphitrite is the pre-Hellenic Greek goddess whose name means the third one who encircles, a moon goddess who loved to sing and dance and who governs the foaming waves.

Atargatis is the Syrian fish goddess, a mother and fertility figure whose sacred animals are doves and fish and whose worship spread to Greece and Rome. Mami Wata, whose name means Mother Water, is found along the western coast of Africa and into central Africa, appearing to her devoted in dreams and visions. Sedna is the Inuit goddess of the deep waters who drives the walrus and the seal toward the hunt.

The manual reads water throughout as the symbol of spiritual rebirth, purification and regeneration, and presents the mermaid as a guide through transition, one who calls you to change form rather than to stay as you are.
