Ama Deus is an energy-based shamanic healing system that the Guarani people of the Amazon jungle of central Brazil have used for some six thousand years, one of the oldest living cultures in the world. Its name is Portuguese for I love God, chosen because the Guarani have no written language of their own, and the expression itself traces back to Latin.

Alberto Aguas, a third-generation Brazilian healer whose family had lived among the Guarani for generations, had access to the tribe for eight years, and with their approval spent the last ten years of his life teaching their way of working with energy in a classroom setting until his passing in 1992.

The system moves energy through a series of ancient symbols that carry no names and no colors, visualized with the third eye or applied hands on, and it opens what the manual calls a gate between a person and Divinity that works through the heart chakra.

That channel is activated by repeating a specific mantra three times and sustained by a breathing technique known as the Breath of God, combined with a strong visualization.
