Lorain sits where the Black River meets Lake Erie, a Rust Belt port city west of Cleveland. Its steel mills, shipyards, and auto plant drew more than 70 nationalities, earning the nicknames The International City and Steel City.
Lorain grew around work on the water and in the mills, so residents know the value of their time. Distance sessions let you settle in at home anywhere in Lorain, and the whole practice happens remotely from Michigan.
Lorain's story runs through the Black River, where the river meets Lake Erie and a monumental bascule bridge marks the port. A lakefront lighthouse known as the Jewel of the Port joins the bridge in defining that skyline for everyone who lives here. Lorain is the hometown of Nobel laureate Toni Morrison, and her novel The Bluest Eye is set in the city. World War II Fleet Admiral Ernest J. King also came from Lorain, adding a naval chapter to a port with deep ties to the lake. Each session reaches Lorain remotely, so the city's lakefront and river stay exactly where you know them.
