Salinas is the agricultural heart of California's Central Coast, a city of about 163,000 people surrounded by working fields. Its nickname, the Salad Bowl of the World, comes from the huge share of the nation's lettuce that the valley grows.
Salinas life is tied to the fields of the valley, home to farmworkers and ranchers whose work follows the growing season. Distance Reiki attunements fit that rhythm, because you receive them at home in Salinas on a day that suits your own work.
Salinas is the birthplace of Nobel laureate John Steinbeck, and the nickname Steinbeck Country honors the novels that immortalized the valley's farmworkers and ranchers. Cowboy tradition runs just as deep here, anchored by the century-old California Rodeo Salinas, one of the largest rodeos in the country. The city motto, Rich in Land, Rich in Values, names both the soil of the valley and the principles of the people who work it. Prismatic Flower Essences honors that grounded spirit by sending flower essences and aura sprays to Salinas, and by offering Reiki attunements across the distance.
