Wild Alchemy: Crafting Your Own Flower Essence
Trail first, finished bottle of your own last. In between, one hands-on day of foraging wildflowers and making essence from them.
🌸 Join us Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, a full day spent outdoors and hands-on. What you learn is the gentle art of making your own flower essence, from wildflowers you gather yourself.
Crimson Commuter, 28736 John R Rd, Madison Heights, MI 48071, is where we all begin together. From there the group carpools to the Douglas Nature Center, 31845 Evergreen Rd, Beverly Hills, MI 48025. A guide leads you along the trails and out through the meadows, teaching you to identify the wildflowers in bloom and to gather them respectfully. Hiking stays light, the terrain is natural, and the pace is easy and unhurried.
The making happens back at Crimson Commuter. Traditional methods take the blossoms you gathered and finish them into a flower essence. Bottled by your own hands, that essence goes home with you, and so does the knowledge to keep making them on your own.
Three threads run through the day. What flower essences actually are. The history behind them. And how they have traditionally been used to support emotional balance, to gently release old emotional patterns, and to reconnect with a sense of calm and clarity.
One day, three things at once: a walk in nature, a workshop, and a quiet reset. Beginners are welcome. Every material is provided.
About Flower Essences
Water is the base and the preparation is gentle. What it carries is the energetic imprint of a flower in bloom, and generations have worked with that as a holistic approach to emotional and spiritual wellbeing. An essential oil is a different thing entirely. Scent, plant material, an essence holds neither, only the subtle vibrational quality of the blossom, captured in water and preserved. What people have traditionally turned to flower essences for is support with emotional balance, ease from everyday stress, and a way back to a sense of inner calm. Nothing about them is complicated or unsafe, and they remain a beautiful way to work with the quiet language of nature.
